Ever wonder exactly how much power your e-bike or electric scooter truly packs? To find out, I designed and built a miniature dynamometer (dyno). It is essentially a high-tech "treadmill" for personal electric vehicles that measures performance under a simulated load.
To ensure professional-grade accuracy, I integrated an industrial torque sensor paired with a custom Python-based software suite. The program provides a live visual plot of the test in real-time and exports high-resolution CSV data for deep-dive analysis. It’s a precision tool built to bridge the gap between manufacturer claims and real-world performance.
